 Dear students

The screams

It was around 4 or 5 PM, and I was just chilling, watching a horror video. Suddenly, I heard screams. At first, I thought they were coming from the video I was watching, but when I paused it, the screams continued for a few more seconds. They were coming from a nearby house, although initially, I thought it might have been birds. However, it became clear that it was indeed a house, and I was hearing child screams and dogs barking, all at a disturbingly similar volume level.

After a while, I started hearing construction noises—like drills and other loud sounds. The barking stopped about five minutes after the construction noises began, and the child screams ceased shortly after that. Feeling uneasy, I asked my mom, “Mom, do you hear these weird screams?” She reassured me that it was just people building something.

But her explanation didn't sit well with me. I couldn’t shake off the feeling that something more sinister might be happening. Was it a kidnapping or child abuse? For three days, I listened intently, trying to determine if this was just an ordinary construction site or something more disturbing. Every day, I heard at least one scream coming from that house.

On the fourth day, the screams stopped, as did the construction noises. There were also two or more power outages—one very brief and another lasting about five minutes. Each time this happened, an alarm would go off, blaring for about five minutes. It would always come from the surroundings of the house. (Although it might not be relevant)

Now, I’m left wondering if I should check out the place where I heard the screams. Should I go near the house, despite my fear of getting into trouble?

The Bath School Massacre

Andrew Kehoe, a disturbed 55-year-old who publicly lost his re-election as secretary of the town of Bath, Michigan, managed to carry out a terrible revenge against the community that turned its back on him. Kehoe (who suffered serious after-effects after a severe blow to the head), placed explosives all over the Bath school, without anyone noticing. Later, it is presumed that he took the life of his wife by beating her on May 16, 1927. During the following 2 days, he prepared to blow up his house and his farm, at the same time that the explosives placed in the school were activated. All this he did was connect the explosives to alarm clocks that would act as detonators. Additionally, he loaded his vehicle with dynamite and prepared to give free rein to his sick plan. When the explosives detonated on May 18, 1927, the entire north wing of the school was completely destroyed. Kehoe arrived at the scene and fired at the dynamite he had hidden in his vehicle, killing himself and taki...
